It's exactly a month from Johann's birth.

Noticable changes?

well ... eyes open bigger ... kinda look at u with that beady marbles...
able to twist his head and his range of gaze is extended ...
i read that his brain just grew by twice the size since birth! *wow*

Iris is coping. yeah. COPING. enjoying the times when hving that maternal connection with the child, cringing through the times when her breasts and nipples hurt and lack of sleep.

We've managed to steal a couple of one-hour breaks on our on to go dating and simply walk in the park and hold hands and do wot couples do ... and use that time to discuss and decide on pertinent family issues etc.

Our maid is a blast. Iris, with her HR skills, is able to manage her maid's emotions well, and to hv her ENJOY workin' with us ... *wow*

She loves the baby as if he's her own, and we're able to leave our baby with her over a stretch of 3 hours without supervision.

Funny thing about fatherhood, is that it's a whole different ball game from Marriage, let alone single hood.
Well before u readers go like "duh...", lemme elaborate ..

Whether i like it or not, suddenly there's a focus in life. Very sharp one.

Letting go all my lofty dreams was painful, however exchanging that for a life of stability and focus, thus results, geez. i'm for it.

It's kinda like ... where the baby will be in future depends entirely on his Environment, which is Me and Iris. And WE create that.

thousands of questions flood our minds ... about what we can do, should do, must do, and esp things that we aren't too familiar about, we do our research, and realise afterwards that the research can be highly biased too ...
We end up choosing what we feel is most right or most comfortable for us.

I'm turning up sick now , it's been a while since i've been under the weather... lack of sleep, too much stuff in my brain ... geez.
