:: Parenting, Fathering

One of the most interesting things i've noticed after this morning's jog and reflection is, understanding the environment where the child is brought up, will result in the person that he'll become.

And most of the time, the father and mommy themselves create this environment, from little things like their taste of music, furniture, speech patterns, lingo, good and bad habits, money habits etc.

And i thought the best thing about nurturing a kid, is to make sure i nurture myself to be the best possible person i can become, and the kid will follow suit. SOunds simple ya ?

Nurture ourselves in terms of habits about money, physical fitness, mental abilities, fun and growing attitude etc.

And obviously, it boils down to the choices that we make in our daily lives about what we do and who we hang out with, thus determining who we in turn become.

Reading books about parenting has not only enabled me to learn about the above-mentioned, but also realised that i have picked up my parents good and bad habits UNCONSCIOUSLY.

Of course, me being me, i noticed my bad habits :
Losing my temper with my wife when communication doesn't flow well.
Utilizing the strategy of cutting her off if my point is not getting across.

Amazing. And i asked myself why i'm like that ?!
Answer is obvious ...

And i choose to carry on the good traits and habits i got from my folks.
And to continously make a consious effect to weed myself of undesirable habits.

Good stuff that i've gained is to speak good and proper English. Like that a lot.

My baby is so cute. Is really really cute. Amazingly cute. I enjoy moments of watching him, just watching him, so much.

Thank you God for your gift. =)
